ADECCO GROUP
2012 WORKPLACE GAMES

1.
Adecco is a tier two sponsor for London 2012, leading Britain's biggest recruitment effort since World War II. It wanted a campaign that would drive awareness of the sponsorship amongst the British workforce, and engage with them directly in a fun and interactive activity that could be leveraged across the multiple companies within the group both internally and externally.
2.
Octopus devised The Workplace Games campaign to challenge workers across the country to organise office Olympics activities, film the results and upload their videos to a Facebook page. The campaign was supported by Paralympics GB with money being donated to the charity for every video submitted. Colin Jackson and ex-Paralympic champion Danny Crates were enlisted to head up the campaign, with a Facebook page, app and social media campaign underpinning all communications.
3.
Octopus also designed a survey of workers, asking them about competitive sport and clubs in the workplace, providing a platform for discussion and further news hooks. Coverage highlights included a Talksport (radio and video interview with Colin Jackson for the website, Radio Two, The Sun, Evening Standard, FHM Online, City A.M, The Times and BBC Radio Wales. The total reach for the campaign exceeded 30 million, while the Facebook page smashed its target of 1,000 likes, by more than 4,000.
