Grassroots jobseeking
Adecco is the world's largest recruiter and has long been a high-street name, but it needed to stay relevant to jobseekers as newer, younger agencies arrived on the scene. Octopus was tasked with developing a fun, friendly, issues-based campaign to help Adecco build strong new relationships with jobseekers.

We developed strong relationships with the most important national careers journalists, helping to create entirely new content for their individual audiences. The campaign was also supported with consumer research, to ensure depth and breadth of newsworthy material.

Octopus created a series of jobseeker advice guides from the resulting articles and other relevant editorial material. These were issued to regional Adecco branches for distribution to jobseekers, supported by localised PR campaigns that extended the reach of Adecco's content into local communities.

The result: widespread coverage of Adecco's message for jobseekers across national and regional press. 4-5 national newspaper articles appearing per month, supported by hundreds of articles in regional media.
